A pact is a focused commitment between travellers, partners and the communities they work alongside.

Each one is aligned to a specific UN Sustainable Development Goal, designed around measurable outcomes and held to the same standard across every brand in the ITG collective. We do not set targets and move on. We track what changes, return to measure it and publish what we find.

Transformational change

A journey that changes nothing about who you are when you get home isn't life-defining. We measure what people return with, not just where they went: the skills gained through immersive experiences, the confidence built by stepping beyond familiar surroundings and the personal growth that carries forward into education, work and life.

Our work does not stop once a classroom is built. We stay connected to what happens inside it — supporting maintenance, tracking learning outcomes and measuring progress year after year.

Clean water

Reliable access to clean water shapes everything else in a community — from health and education to economic opportunity. We build and restore water infrastructure alongside local partners, focusing on solutions that communities can maintain and depend on.

I've really surprised myself with how much physical endurance I've developed, "Normally, I tend to back out of physical activity after 20-30 minutes. But during my last trip, I found myself pushing through and feeling great doing it. Despite the heat and the physical labour, I've managed to stay energised and focused. It's like I've unlocked a new level of stamina and resilience that I didn't know I had.

How we measurewhat matters

Every pact has a defined measurement framework agreed with community partners before the programme begins. We use local specialists where possible and track outcomes across multiple years rather than single visits. Where data is incomplete or a pact is in its early stages, we say so. Accountability means being honest about what we do not yet know as well as what we do.
